NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) — Still in the glow of midnight marriages across New York, hundreds of gay couples are expected to marry on the first full day same-sex weddings are legal in the Empire State.

New York City alone is ready to host several hundred same-sex weddings. Clerks, judges and other officials in several cities around the state are opening their doors on a Sunday to cater to gay couples.

The first couples got married in every corner of the state, from Niagara Falls to the capital in Albany to Long Island.

New York became the sixth, and largest, state to allow gay marriages last month. The highly anticipated vote was viewed as a pivotal moment in the national gay rights movement and is expected to galvanize supporters and opponents alike.

Porn mogul Larry Flynt offered disgraced US lawmaker Anthony Weiner a job Thursday, after the New York congressman resigned over a tawdry "sexting" scandal.

Hustler founder Flynt said he would pay Weiner, who posted pictures of his intimate anatomy to a number of women on Twitter, 20 percent more than what he earned in the House of Representatives.

"After having learned of your sudden and compelled resignation from your congressional post, I would like to make you an offer of employment at Flynt Management Group, LLC in our Internet group," he wrote.

"This offer is not made in jest. To show our sincerity, Flynt Management Group, LLC is willing to pay 20 percent more than your former congressional salary," he added, also promising to pay medical cover and relocation costs.

He added: "I feel that your unfortunate resignation is a prime example of unfounded political pressure and the hypocrisy that has invaded democracy in Washington DC."

"Just as we do not undertake insincere political crusades, we do not make insincere job offers," said Flynt in a letter to Weiner, published by the TMZ celebrity news website.

The 46-year-old congressman, who was until recently seen as a leading candidate for mayor of New York city, quit after admitting sending sexually explicit messages to half a dozen women.

One of the women involved, former porn actress Ginger Lee, welcomed Weiner's resignation.

"I am glad that he has resigned. After the past three weeks and everything that transpired before that, I think that he is making the wisest decision for himself, for his family, for everyone else drawn into this scandal," she said.

"I wish him the best, and hope that the treatment that he is receiving will help him to control his impulses and make better judgments in the future," she added in a statement.

Roger Abdelmassih is on the run from police after being convicted of sexually assaulting or raping 39 female patients at his clinic. New evidence gathered by police and public prosecutors suggests that many of the 8,000 babies born after IVF treatment by him and his team may not be the biological children of the couples raising them. DNA tests have already found at least three cases where children born after IVF treatment at his clinic in Sao Paulo are not the genetic offspring of one of the paying parents. But according to Epoca, a weekly Brazilian news magazine which has seen evidence collected by the authorities, this could be just the tip of the iceberg. Abdelmassih treated a string of high-profile clients including Pele who fathered twins with his second wife in 1996 at the age of 55 and after having earlier undergone a vasectomy. His clinic's IVF success rate hit 47 per cent in recent years compared to an average of around 32 per cent in Latin America and less than 30 per cent in Britain. Such a high level of success will increase fears that Abdelmassih may have fooled large numbers of patients over a period of two decades. Abdelmassih was sentenced to 278 years in jail in November last year after he was found guilty of attacking female patients between 1995 and 2007 but went missing after being allowed to remain free pending an appeal.

Soupolos paid Maus $2,500 for the job and for three evenings a week for the next six months, Maus tried desperately, a total of 72 different times, to impregnate Traute.


However, when Traute failed to get pregnant after six months, Soupolos was not understanding and insisted that Maus have a medical examination, which he did. The doctor's announcement that Maus was also sterile shocked everyone except his wife, who was forced to confess that Maus was not the real father of their two children. Now Soupolos is suing Maus for breach of contract in an effort to get his money back, but Maus refuses to give it up because he said he did not guarantee conception, but only that he would give an honest effort.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted fathering a child with a member of the household staff.

The revelations follow the break-up of his 25-year marriage to Maria Shriver, which was announced on May 9.

The affair happened over ten years ago, but the former governor of California, 63, only told his wife about it earlier this year. She moved out of their Brentwood mansion after his confession.

In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Schwarzenegger said:  “After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.

“I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.

"I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not."

The former staffer has not been identified, but it is reported she worked for the Schwarzenegger family for more than 20 years and retired in January. She said she voluntarily left her position with the couple 'on good terms'.

According to the LA times, the woman told her husband the child was his, and declined to comment further when Schwarzenegger released his statement.

The baby was born before Schwarzenegger began his first term as governor and apparently the former ‘Terminator’ star has always taken financial responsibility for the child.

Since leaving office, the actor has tried to resurrect his film career. In February, he officially announced he was returning to Hollywood and was apparently mulling offers to star in sequels for ‘Terminator’ and remakes of ‘Predator’ and ‘The Running Man’.


He also announced he’ll star in a cartoon series featuring him as a superhero called ‘The Governator’. Schwarzenegger said the show “combines the governor, ‘The Terminator’, the bodybuilding world and ‘True Lies’”.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Justin Bieber, who has no shortage of female admirers, says he's aware that many people have sex without love, but that it's not for him.

"I don't think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them," Bieber said. When asked about premarital sex, however, he was a little vaguer. "I think you should just wait for the person you're ... in love with."

Bieber also opened up about what kind of girls he's interested in.

"Not that he goes after tons of girls, but if there's a girl he wants to see and he feels that we're not respecting that, he will make our lives hell to see her," Braun said.

He does have a solid opinion on abortion. "I really don't believe in abortion," Bieber says. "It's like killing a baby?" How about in cases of rape? "Um. Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."
